Below is the weekly report for Nov. 21-27 submitted by the Quinte Red Devils AAA minor hockey association.

Sadly, the stormy weather Saturday resulted in the cancellation of all Quinte Red Devil games on Nov. 19th. Several teams still hit the ice for practice, collecting for Gleaners Food Bank and attending the Belleville Senators Hockey Fights Cancer game at CAA that evening.

All eight teams will be in action at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre as they face off against their respective Peterborough Petes AAA counterparts.

The Quinte Red Devils AAA Hockey Club is one of the top in the province at the triple-A level. It’s a testament to the strength of minor hockey in the region and the development of players who are willing to put in the time and effort required to play in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association’s Eastern Triple-A loop.

It has been over 13 years now since Elijah Cole passed away at the tender age of 16, but his love for sports – hockey in particular – will never be forgotten.

With a record 12 players drafted – the most since 11 were chosen in 2015 – it was a successful 2022 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection for the Quinte Red Devils U16 team.

Tyler Longo, Assistant Coach of the Wellington Dukes and President of the Quinte Red Devils returns to discuss the upcoming season and the exciting partnership between the two organizations.

Winning nearly all of its games this season was a great accomplishment for the Quinte Red Devils Borchert’s Roofing U11 team, but the rare losses were equally as important.
