The 2025–26 school year will be remembered as one of the most successful and competitive seasons in recent memory for high school athletics across the Bay of Quinte region. Leading the way was St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School, whose Titans hockey team captured the school’s first-ever provincial championship.

High school sports in the Bay of Quinte are currently in the peak of the spring season as of May 2026. The most significant recent achievement is the St. Theresa Titans claiming their first-ever OFSAA A/AA Boys Hockey championship with an overtime victory at the CAA Arena in Belleville.

Latham named new athletic director at Loyalist College

Cristy Latham is the fourth Director of Athletics and Recreation in Loyalist College’s history and the first female athletic director in college history, it was announced in June.

Belleville Soccer Club gearing up for busy season

Registration numbers have soared for the Belleville Soccer Club for the upcoming 2023 outdoor season. 

About 1,250 players are signed up for the club’s recreational leagues while there’s an additional 250 in the development and competitive program.
