Brighton & District Minor Hockey Association (BDMHA), was a year of intense development and postseason highlights, notably for the U15 and U13 squads.

Minor hockey a community affair in Prince Edward County

Beyond the scoreboard, the Prince Edward County Minor Hockey Association (PECMHA) focused on long-term development. The 2026 Spring Hockey program saw record interest, offering 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 leagues for players born between 2009 and 2019. The association also introduced specialized Body Checking Clinics and goalie clinics to enhance player safety and skill.

Two Quinte residents played key roles in the victory. Assistant Captain and Senior Zoe Uens tallied four points over the weekend, including a key PP goal in the championship game. Uens has had a tremendous final season and is on the radar for this springs PWHL draft.

A 2022 update by The Concussion in Sport Group defined sport related concussion as a traumatic brain injury caused by a direct blow to the head, neck, or body resulting in an impulsive force
