Wellington Dukes head coach Derek Smith has been named an assistant coach for Team Canada East at the upcoming World Junior A Challenge in Cornwall from Dec. 11 to 18.

With a 3-2 win in double overtime Friday night against the Collingwood Blues, the Dukes are now 14-5-2-0 on the season. The Jr. Canadiens (19-3-1-0) lead the OJHL with 39 points and are the No. 4 ranked team nationally in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League’s best rivalry is going to honour the Hastings Prince Edward Regiment. The 3rd Annual Hasty Ps Cup will begin Friday October 21st, when the Wellington Dukes host the Trenton Golden Hawks at Lehigh Arena in The County.

Another season of Ontario Junior Hockey League action is underway for the Wellington Dukes. Even better, it resembles a traditional campaign.
