SHOWCASE DAILY: TRENTON DEFEATS COLLINGWOOD IN BATTLE OF LAST TWO OJHL CHAMPIONS

\Day 1 of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Governors’ Showcase at the Gale Centre in Niagara Falls, home of the Canucks, featured eight games, all of the inter-conference variety. 

The defending OJHL champion Trenton Golden Hawks won one of the feature games of the day 5-2 over the Collingwood Blues, the 2024 national champs.

Belleville, ON – Ontario Junior Hockey League coach Derek Smith will be inducted into the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame this fall.

The head coach of the defending OJHL champion Trenton Golden Hawks is one of five members of the hall’s class of 2025 inductees, it was announced Wednesday.

Our U16 Girls Red played our U16 White team, with the Red pulling off a 37-32 win over the White. The U16 Girls Black squad defeated the Kingston Panthers 38-17.
Our U16 Boys 2XV lost 21-17 to the Ajax Wanderers.

QUINTE BOCCIA CLUB

The Quinte Boccia Club will be hosting opportunities to learn how to play the fun, exciting sport called Boccia!
Sessions will be scheduled on the following dates at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre in the Multipurpose Room (upstairs second floor next to the track) on Thursday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00:

Wellington Dukes Wrap Up Identification Camp

With temperatures reaching the mid 30s in the Quinte area on the weekend. The cool confines of the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre was a great spot to be as the Dukes held their 2025 Summer Identification Camp.

Our U18 boys 1sts team kicked off the season with a 45-14 loss against Kingston. Tries scored by Cater Ward and Mitchell Trumble. Conversions by Caius Allin and Same Jones. The U18 boys 2nds team lost 47-0 against Peterborough.
