The Wellington Dukes have evened the Hasty P’s Cup series against the Trenton Golden Hawks at two games apiece.

March 2020 was set to feature another series in the long rivalry between the Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes.
A stretch of five straight goals across all three periods paced the visiting Wellington Dukes to a 6-3 victory over the Trenton Golden Hawks in Ontario Junior Hockey League action Friday evening at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens.
Aiden MacIntosh scored twice and Dalton Bancoft had a four-point outing as the Golden Hawks downed the Dukes 5-3 in Game 2 of the Hasty P’s Challenge Cup, an eight-game regular season showdown between the two clubs.
It was the third straight win for the Dukes (6-5-0-1), which will host Game 2 of the Hasty P’s Cup on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against the Trenton Golden Hawks (9-1-0-2).
Four straight goals in the third period to close out the game lifted the Golden Hawks (6-0-0-0) to a 7-4 victory over the Dukes (3-3-0-1) at Lehigh Arena in Wellington.
