Below is the weekly report for Nov. 21-27 submitted by the Quinte Red Devils AAA minor hockey association.

Sadly, the stormy weather Saturday resulted in the cancellation of all Quinte Red Devil games on Nov. 19th. Several teams still hit the ice for practice, collecting for Gleaners Food Bank and attending the Belleville Senators Hockey Fights Cancer game at CAA that evening.

All eight teams will be in action at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre as they face off against their respective Peterborough Petes AAA counterparts.

With a 3-2 win in double overtime Friday night against the Collingwood Blues, the Dukes are now 14-5-2-0 on the season. The Jr. Canadiens (19-3-1-0) lead the OJHL with 39 points and are the No. 4 ranked team nationally in the Canadian Junior Hockey League.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League’s best rivalry is going to honour the Hastings Prince Edward Regiment. The 3rd Annual Hasty Ps Cup will begin Friday October 21st, when the Wellington Dukes host the Trenton Golden Hawks at Lehigh Arena in The County.

For more than a century, Belleville’s best times have been at the rink. From the Arnott Rink on Turnbull Street to the Memorial in Market Square and the Yardmen on Cannifton, we have cheered our local hockey heroes…together.
