The U16 girls won Gold in Div 1 at Ontario Cup this weekend, making them 9th overall provincially! Our 14’s won gold last weekend, and things are looking good for our two U19 teams competing this weekend – one for Ontario Cup, and one for the Provincial Championship.

All eight teams will be in action at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre as they face off against their respective Peterborough Petes AAA counterparts.

Interested participants are invited to give curling a try for free at the Quinte Curling Club. Located at 246 Bridge Street in Belleville, the QCC two-day event will run Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Playing sports is part of the post-secondary school experience for many students. That’s no exception at Loyalist College in Belleville.

Any student-athletes attending Loyalist College in Belleville this fall are encouraged to pre-register for the tryouts for their chosen sports if they haven’t already been in contact with the coach.
Through the generosity of Robert Doyle, owner of the Belleville McDonald’s Restaurants, the Hall of Fame Committee conducts the annual High School Athlete of the Year Program.
Seven new inductees will be honoured when the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame, located in the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, holds its 25th induction ceremony on Saturday September 10.
