The Belleville Sports Hall of Fame (BSHoF) is pleased to announce a new format for the Belleville High School Athlete of the Year ceremony. The event, which will take place on Monday June 26 at 6:30 pm, will now be separate from the BSHoF induction ceremony, and will focus solely on highlighting the outstanding achievements of young athletes from the community.

LAX Fest will be on June 17th from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at The Quinte Wellness Centre 265 Cannifton Road in Belleville. We will have teams from the surrounding area joining us from Belleville, Kingston, Tyendinaga and more!

Five local gymnasts recently competed at Eastern Canadian championships in Sherbrooke, Quebec bringing home four gold and one bronze medal.

The rebrand to Zone Athletics reflects the way the recreational sports facility has grown and expanded in recent years.Â
The company was founded in 2014 as a cheerleading gym but grew to offer recreational cheerleading, tumbling, and parkour classes, in addition to PA Day camps, summer and holiday camps,

A flag football program was the foundation, but the Skyhawks over the years have added rep teams at the U14, U16 and U18 levels as well as a Canadian Junior Football League U22 team. The plan is to introduce a U12 team next spring as well.

As part of this year’s activities and as a way of introducing the game of lawn bowling to those that have never played, the Belleville Lawn Bowling Club will be participating in National Bowls Day.Â

There’s a tremendous amount of quality high school track and field athletes in the Quinte region, but the majority of them stop training at the end of the season.
