Following a successful 2022-2023 campaign, the Belleville Spirits girls basketball program will look to continue that momentum into next season. Three Spirits teams captured provincial gold – U16 in Division 1, U14 and U19B in Division 5 – while the U19A team placed third in the highest OBLX level.
Belleville Ontario – Pero, now 19, is a student-athlete at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Just like his dad was back in the day.
And this summer the Bloomfield golfer captured the Ontario Men’s Amateur title, which his father Mike Pero won in 1989.
