BOCCIA COMES TO QUINTE

s similar in concept to bocce and was introduced onto the Paralympic program in 1984 and today is played in over 50 countries. A co-ed sport of control and accuracy, boccia is played on an indoor court about the size of a badminton court. Players propel soft leather balls towards the target or white “jack” ball.

Belleville U16 Girls Spirits Win Gold

The U16 girls won Gold in Div 1 at Ontario Cup this weekend, making them 9th overall provincially! Our 14’s won gold last weekend, and things are looking good for our two U19 teams competing this weekend – one for Ontario Cup, and one for the Provincial Championship.

Trenton’s Charlie Sandercock became the first Canadian to win the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series’ Battle of the Bay Speed week in the United States.
According to a release from the RUSH series, Sandercock has won Flynn’s Tire Touring Series events in two Canadian provinces

Belleville Bulldogs Weekend Wrap up

The Bulldogs Senior Men’s rugby team was back in action after a lengthy hiatus from the pitch. They played host to the Ajax Wanderers in an exhibition game on Saturday, May 6 at Centennial SS.

Ottawa Senators officially name David Bell third head coach in Belleville Sens history

OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa Senators announced today that the team has promoted David Bell to head coach of the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Belleville Senators.  Bell, 46, was appointed B-Sens’ interim head coach on Feb. 3 and led the team to a record of 14-9-3-3 over the 2022-23 regular season’ final 29 contests.
