To say this weekend is important to the Trenton Golden Hawks, is a huge understatement.
This weekend the Hawks take on the #2 seed Stouffville Spirit, and the #4 seed Newmarket Hurricanes, with the results having huge playoff implications.
Firstly, the Hawks play Friday against the #4 seed Newmarket Hurricanes, who are trailing the 3rd place Panthers by just 4 points. Head to head this season, the Hurricanes have a 1-2 record against our Hawks, however, last game was shootout with a total of 12 goals scored, anything can happen, and the Canes need the 2 points, which makes them a very dangerous matchup for our boys!
Puck drop for this one is at 7:30pm, however we are asking all fans to come in a little early, and support the Trenton Figure Skating Club. (More info on this great event is online)
Then on Sunday, the task gets even a little tougher for our Hawks, as they take on the #2 seeded Stouffville Spirit. The Spirit sit in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference, trailing your Hawks by 7 points, however they have 2 games in hand, so you can bet your last dollar, the Spirit will be bringing their A Game! (Hawks lead head to head matchup 2-1 this season)
