The Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League senior ‘A’ playoffs are underway and the Tweed Oil Kings are facing the West Carleton Rivermen in the West Division semifinals.
West Carleton won the best-of-three series opener 5-4 on Saturday, March 5 at the Nick Smith Centre in Arnprior. See the sports ticker for the scoring summary.
The Oil Kings will host Game 2 on Saturday, March 12 at the Tweed Community Centre. Game time is 1 p.m.
If necessary, Game 3 will also be played in Tweed on Sunday, March 13 at 2 p.m.
Tweed, an expansion club in its first EOSHL season, placed second in the league’s West Division standings with a 14-4-0-0 record. West Carleton was third in the division at 11-6-0-1.
