After opening the scoring less than two minutes into the contest, the Napanee Raiders cruised to a 7-0 win over the Frankford Huskies on Saturday night.
Connor Brooks got the visiting Raiders on the board at 1:52 mark during the Provincial Junior Hockey League game in Frankford. Ben White also scored during the opening frame, which turned out to be his first of two goals on the evening.
AJ Ness, on a power play, Soren Zamuner, Reid Lambert and Chris Edwards rounded out the scoring for the Raiders, which outshot the Huskies 47-17.
Goaltender Preston Swan-Merrison earned the shutout win for Napanee (16-4-0-2) while Cameron Airhart made 40 saves in defeat for Frankford (1-21-2-0).
Monday night, the Huskies will host the Port Hope Panthers (12-8-2-1). Game time is 7:50 p.m.
Next up for the Raiders is a home game in Napanee against the Picton Pirates on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
