Play continues for the Stirling Carpentry 12U Quinte Royals in Baseball Ontario’s August Madness Tournament.
The Royals are undefeated through three games so far in Round 2 of the Madness Tournament with games continuing this weekend.
Quinte had completed Round 1 with a 3-3 record (which does not factor in moving forward) against Peterborough and Kawartha before being placed into the Blue championship bracket for the second and final round against Tecumseh, Mississauga, Whitby and Oshawa.
Hosting three games at Don Ogden Park in Trenton, the Royals are off to a great in the final round with the three straight victories. They defeated Oshawa twice, 7-1 and 17-9, on Saturday, Aug. 21 and Whitby 14-5 on Wednesday, Aug. 25.
This weekend, the Royals will play four games in Mississauga. Saturday’s games are at Rathwood Major Diamond – 11 a.m. against Misssissaga as the road team and 5 p.m. against Tecumseh as the home team.
Sunday’s schedule is at Fleetwood Hardball Diamond – 1:15 p.m. against Tecumseh as the road team and 3:45 p.m. against Mississauga as the home team.
Quinte will conclude its schedule Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Whitby. Game time is 7 p.m. at Cachet Park.
