Quinte AAA Red Devils – Weekly Team Updates

Organizational Record: 192-83-29

As the season transitions into playoff mode, the Quinte AAA Red Devils are seeing a mix of teams beginning post-season play while others close out their regular season schedules. With standings finalized in several divisions and playoff positioning underway, intensity continues to rise across the organization. The combined organizational record now sits at 192-83-29, reflecting another strong stretch of hockey for QRD.


U11 – Playoffs on the Horizon

The U11 Quinte Red Devils spent the week preparing as other teams wrapped up their regular season schedules. As of Sunday afternoon, the Devils sit3rd in their division with a strong regular season record of 21-7-2.

On Deck – Playoffs Begin:
• Saturday, February 28 – vs. Peterborough Petes (2:45 PM, Healthy Planet Arena)
• Sunday, March 1 – vs. Markham Waxers (12:30 PM, Marmora)

U12 – 1–1 Start to Playoffs

The Breakaway Fuels U12 Red Devils opened playoff action with a split weekend.

Saturday @ Markham (5–1 win)
After a scoreless first period and an early second-period deficit, the Devils responded with two power play goals to take the lead. They added two more early in the third and locked things down defensively to secure a convincing 5-1 road win.

Sunday vs. Barrie (2–0 loss)
A tight-checking affair saw Barrie capitalize on a bounce late in the first period. Despite several quality chances, the Devils were unable to solve the Colts’ goaltending and fell 2-0 after an empty net goal.

On Deck:
Thursday in Kingston before hosting North Central in Campbellford on Sunday.


U13 – First Place Finish in OMHA East

The 417 Bus Line U13 Red Devils capped off their regular season in dominant fashion, finishing first in the OMHA East.

Saturday – 9-1 win vs Ajax-Pickering
Max Norton led the way with a hat trick, supported by balanced scoring and strong goaltending from Blake Laurin.

Sunday – 8-2 win vs York-Simcoe
Gilchrist and Campbell each scored twice as QRD secured the top seed heading into playoffs. Ryan Keyes picked up the win in net.

The team will close out regular season play Tuesday in Peterborough before beginning playoffs next weekend.


U14 – Regular Season Complete

The Madison Excavating U14 Quinte AAA Red Devils wrapped up regular season play with three competitive matchups.

Despite tough outings against North Shore and Kingston, the group battled hard and closed their schedule with a gritty overtime tie against Peterborough. Hayden Tripp and Ben Larmer both delivered strong performances in net throughout the week.

U16 – Offensive Surge to Open Playoffs

The HockeyStickMan U16 Quinte AAA Red Devils stormed through their first three OMHA East playoff games with dominant performances.

Family Day vs Barrie (6–1 win)
Strong special teams and short-handed goals from Lauchlan Whelan and Andrew Laurin powered QRD to a statement win. Nathan Ferriss was outstanding in goal.

Saturday vs North Shore (5–1 win)
After falling behind early, the Devils responded with five straight goals. Balanced scoring and disciplined play secured another two points.

Sunday vs North Central (8–1 win)
The offense continued to roll, with multi-goal performances from Whelan and Laurin leading the charge. Landen White earned both weekend victories in net.

QRD now heads on the road this week for three more playoff contests in Kingston, Barrie, and Rama.


U18 – Strong Road Win in York-Simcoe

The Quinte AAA Red Devils U18 squad travelled to York-Simcoe for their lone game of the weekend and delivered a strong performance.

QRD struck early as Owen Rivers opened the scoring, assisted by Connor Fetterley and Sterling Poff. Sterling Poff added another before York-Simcoe answered on the power play. Gavin Parliament restored the two-goal cushion, followed by a power play marker from Maclean Chisholm. Maddox Vespa added the final goal to seal the win.

Alex Beaupre was solid between the pipes throughout the contest.

Wednesday vs Central Ontario (8:15 PM, FDC Pad)


U10 – Playoff Debut

The BIHC U10 Quinte AAA Red Devils began playoff action with a weather delay cancelling their Friday opener.

Sunday’s matchup against Whitby saw a fast-paced contest between the division’s top teams. QRD held things tight through much of the game, trailing just 2-1 before Whitby pulled ahead late to secure a 4-1 result.

The group now refocuses on Game #2.
