Quinte Royals baseball U15 Weekend Update

15U Stirling Carpentry Royals after being rained out Wednesday on their way to the Whitby A game hosted Uxbridge and Whitby AA today on Bayshore.

Picking up the two wins today with a comeback in game 1 and a center field dinger in game 2 by Logan Fonger to help solidify the win.

Next up a trip to Kawartha tomorrow and final game of the regular season Wednesday at Rotary when Kingston comes to town.

Quinte Royals 15U Rally Defeats Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U

Quinte Royals 15U trailed by as many as nine, but came back to top Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U on Saturday, 14-12.

Quinte Royals 15U collected eight hits and Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U had 13 in the high-scoring affair.

Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, Jonathan Patterson singled, scoring one run, Kai McBride doubled, scoring three runs, and Quade Atkinson grounded out, scoring one run.

Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Reid Tibbles doubled, scoring two runs, Mason Redshaw doubled, scoring one run, and Kai McBride singled, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals 15U flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring 11 runs on six hits to take a 14-10 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Kalen Banks that drove in three.

Daniel Yeo pitched three innings in relief for Quinte Royals 15U. The reliever surrendered six hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out two and walking two. Logan Fonger started on the mound for Quinte Royals 15U. They allowed seven hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking four. Quade Atkinson stepped on the hill first for Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U. The right-handed pitcher allowed eight hits and 14 runs (11 earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking six.

Ryan Dunn and Tyler MacDonald each collected two hits for Quinte Royals 15U. Kalen Banks and Ryan Ouimet each drove in two runs for Quinte Royals 15U. Ryan Dunn stole three bases. Quinte Royals 15U worked the count all day, amassing seven walks. Quinte Royals 15U stole six bases in the game.

Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U accumulated 13 hits in the game. Kai McBride led Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Alex Greenwood, Ben Roy, and Jonathan Patterson each collected multiple hits for Uxbridge Grizzlies 15U. Martin Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Quinte Royals 15U Take The Win Over Whitby Canadians 15U AA

Seth Martin collected five hits in five at bats, as Quinte Royals 15U defeated Whitby Canadians 15U AA 14-7 on Saturday. Seth Martin singled in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Quinte Royals 15U jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Seth Martin singled, scoring two runs, Tyler MacDonald drew a walk, scoring one run, and Daniel Yeo doubled, scoring one run.

Quinte Royals 15U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Daniel Yeo singled, and Whitby Canadians 15U AA committed an error, each scoring one run.

Quinte Royals 15U scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run to center field by Logan Fonger.

Taite Crawford led things off on the mound for Quinte Royals 15U. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and six runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking five. Braeden Thorburn started on the mound for Whitby Canadians 15U AA. The righty surrendered nine hits and eight runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking two. Seth Martin appeared in relief for Quinte Royals 15U.

Quinte Royals 15U tallied 17 hits in the game. Seth Martin and Nate Miron each collected five hits for Quinte Royals 15U. Logan Fonger and Seth Martin each drove in three runs for Quinte Royals 15U. Daniel Yeo collected two hits for Quinte Royals 15U in two at bats. Nate Miron stole two bases. Quinte Royals 15U had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Quinte Royals 15U ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Quinte Royals 15U turned one double play in the game.

Parker Rivers drove the middle of the lineup, leading Whitby Canadians 15U AA with two runs batted in. They went 2-for-4 on the day.
