The Trenton Golden Hawks defeated the Wellington Dukes 3-2 in overtime in Ontario Junior Hockey League action Friday, May 1 in Wellington to capture the Hasty P’s Cup.
An eight-game regular season series between the two Quinte rivals, the Golden Hawks won five of the Hasty P Cup games and finished with a 10-8 points advantage. The Dukes earned six points through regulation victories and two more from overtime defeats.
