99.3 County FM & The Wellington Dukes Hockey TeamAnnounce their Continued Partnership

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – AUGUST 31, 2023

99.3 County FM, Prince Edward County’s volunteer driven non-profit community radio station  continue their partnership with local hockey team, “The Wellington Dukes”, for the 2023-24 season. The partnership between 99.3 County FM and the Dukes includes supporting Community projects throughout the year.

This year the Dukes are celebrating 35 years of Passion, Pride & Tradition. In 2022 they were named #9 in Canada in the Jr A NCAA Rankings and were the only team in Ontario in the top 10.

99.3 County FM is the official voice of the defending Buckland Cup Champions,  Wellington Dukes, with play-by-play provided by former OHL broadcaster and County FM News Leader Craig Foster. Craig grew up around the Duke’s franchise, and even played his own minor hockey in Wellington. The production team to date includes Production Lead Gage Broderick, and Ken Murray.

Craig Foster, News Lead and Sports Lead of 99.3 County FM:  “I am proud and excited to once again be the voice of your Wellington Dukes… now more than ever. This is my hometown team, and after an unprecedented off-season, I’m excited to get back to hockey! I am really impressed and grateful for the hard work Kent Lewis and all the staff has already put in… and we can’t wait to bring you the action!”

Kelly Martin – Director of Sales and Marketing: “The Wellington Dukes and Total Sports Quinte are honoured to continue to support our local radio station 99.3 County FM as one of our supported charity groups this season.  We are also excited to have Craig Foster “the Voice of the Dukes” on our road games again this season broadcasting on the 99.3 County FM live stream for our fans, parents and sponsors.  Our out of town parents will definitely enjoy listening to Craig’s broadcasts as much as we do.  With this very special milestone of the 35th Anniversary of the County Wellington Dukes we cannot wait to get started and have our local non profit groups like 99.3 benefit at our home games. Our fans are the most giving people and we can’t thank them more for continuing to help us raise much needed funds for our community. Connecting charity to hockey is one of my greatest passions, it is really a win-win for all.”

99.3 County FM delivers the broadcasts to Prince Edward County and beyond at 99.3 FM and you can tune in anywhere around the globe at www.993countyfm.ca
