MPP to announce funding for local charity that redefines how schools in Quinte Region deliver physical activity to children with and without disabilities.Â
WHAT – On Friday, July 18th at 2:00 p.m., Bay of Quinte MPP Tyler Allsopp will be at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre as the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Association (OCPSA) celebrates the expansion of Rolling Success—a transformative school-based program that engages students of all abilities TOGETHER in meaningful physical activity using two inclusive ‘rolling-based’ para-sports as the catalyst: boccia and frame running.Â
MPP Tyler Allsopp and an OTF volunteer will attend the event to highlight OCPSA’s innovative work in Quinte Region schools made possible by a Grow Grant from OTF.Â
Lorette Dupuis, President/Chair of OCPSA, will share remarks on the Rolling Success program and its expected impact in the community.Â
The announcement will take place during the Opening Ceremonies of the Ontario Boccia Championships — a provincial-level event welcoming para-athletes, families, coaches, officials, and spectators from across Ontario.Â
