Below is the weekly report submitted by the Quinte Red Devils AAA minor hockey organization
Quinte Day Falls to Mother Nature but Hockey Fights Cancer at the BSens Goes on!
Sadly, the stormy weather Saturday resulted in the cancellation of all Quinte Red Devil games on Nov. 19th. Several teams still hit the ice for practice, collecting for Gleaners Food Bank and attending the Belleville Senators Hockey Fights Cancer game at CAA that evening.
The McInroy Maines U18 Quinte Red Devils played one game this week with a mid-week matchup with the Oshawa Generals.
In a tough back and forth battle with the Gens, it was the Devils who were first to hit the scoreboard in the first period with a shot from Carter McKee on the set up from Ben Vreugdenhil. The second set would see the Quinte team pad their lead with two more goals and giving them a 3-0 lead before heading into the third and final set of the game. Goals in the second came from Thomas Kuipers and Jared Woolley, assisting on the plays were Liam Storms, Woolley and Kuipers. The third would see the Generals working to generate offence but Dean Spry in net turned them away and secured the shut out by game end with a final score of 3-0 Devils.
ON DECK: The McInroy Maines U18s will be back in action on Thursday to host the Clarington Toros at 8:30pm @ QSWC and the North Central Predators at 4:00pm on Saturday. Sunday the team will be on the road to Richmond Hill to face the Coyotes.

On Sunday, the team traveled to Richmond Hill to face the Coyotes. It was a wintery weekend for the Gillespie’s Tree Services U13 AAA Red Devils.
Unfortunately, due to Mother Nature both of our games had to be postponed. There is a bright side to this though. The team joined the rest of the Quinte organization for the Quinte Day and a Belleville Senators experience. The Sens took on the visiting Syracuse Crunch. It was a great game and there was lots for the U13 to focus on. It was an opportunity to do the Belly’s Clean-up crew job and win a great Belleville experience for the team. They beat the record by 10 seconds. Way to go boys!! Then the team signed their signs for Hockey Fight Cancer. There was great support from not only the U13 but the whole of the QRD Organization.
Players and parents were also asked to support the local food drive. The U13 brought a boat full of food to support a great cause. The chuck a puck fundraiser was exciting and supported the younger teams of Quinte when buying the red and blue pucks. Liam Marion who is usually putting the puck in the net, put his puck right on the dot at centre to win a private Sens experience. You always save the best for last, Trenton Memorial Hospital was raising money for a new mammogram machine. Our parents and the community dug deep and filled those bed pans. It was a great night. We are certainly proud of the players for their off-ice commitment to their community!
ON DECK: Thursday Vs Whitby Wildcats at 6:00pm in Baltimore. Saturday Vs North Central Predators at 12:30pm in Baltimore. Sunday Vs Markham Waxers at 4:15 in Markham

Mother Nature put a damper on what was to be a fun filled and busy weekend for the Bonn Law QRD U12 Team.
After a week of hard work and preparation, the Red Devils were looking forward to a busy weekend, playing 3 league games and participating in Quinte Day at the Quinte Sports and wellness Centre.
The Devils got off to a solid start when they travelled to Ajax Friday evening to take on the AP Raiders. In a hard fought, competitive game, the teams were tied 0-0 at the end of two periods. The Devils would stick to their game plan and scored 3 unanswered goals in the third period on their way to a 3-0 win. Shea Teather scored a pair of goals in the game, and James Gullage added a single. Assisting on the goals was Brody Grant (2), Gullage, Plummer and Stevens. Matt Travers made some key saves in the game, picking up his second shutout in a row. Grant was named player of the game.
The Red Devils were looking forward to hosting the Peterborough Pete’s on Quinte Day in Belleville, before heading to the Belleville Sens game to take part in their game for Hockey Fights Cancer. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for the rest of the weekend, forcing the cancellation of the game Saturday as well as the game Sunday @ Woodville vs The Central Ontario Wolves.

A Lone Game for the Madison Excavating Quinte Red Devils U11s this Weekend
On Sunday, the Madison Excavating Quinte Red Devils U11s travelled to Markham to take on the Waxers. The first period would see a great deal of back-and-forth action, but no goals on either side. The Devils dominated the second period, however, with the first goal of the game coming from Everett Brown, just over a minute in. Not even six minutes later, Dylan Chalk would add an insurance marker with the game’s second goal. Although QRD had a 2-0 lead at the end of the second period, the Waxers would make a comeback in the third. The Waxers scored three consecutive goals in the third period, the game winning goal coming with only nine seconds left, resulting in a 3-2 loss for QRD. Between the pipes, Hayden Tripp made some timely saves to help keep the final score close.
