Belleville’s Centennial Secondary School recognized its athletes recently with its year-end banquet.
In addition to the major sport awards, each team that was able to run this year also recognized athletes.
Top award winners included Sierra Wood (Outstanding Senior Female Athlete of the Year), Mason Duvall (Outstanding Senior Male Athlete of the Year), Kayla Martindale (Grade 11 Female Athlete of the Year), Ty Foley (Grade 11 Male Athlete of the Year), Brooke Gallagher (Junior Female Athlete of the Year), Tanner Watson (Junior Male Athlete of the Year), Naomi Rainville (Grade 9 Female Athlete of the Year), Liam Wood (Grade 9 Male Athlete of the Year), Magdalen Mullins (Grade 8 Athlete of the Year) and Ryan Foley (Grade 7 Athlete of the Year).
Sophia Christmas won the Charger Spirit Award, Nathan Graves the Pat Carty Award (graduating student), Mark Hopper the Beth Musclow Memorial (parent award), Grace Collins, Carter Lee and Maren Edgett the OFSAA Sportsmanship Award (male/female/coach) and Jessica Striker was recognized for Female Contribution to Athletics and Devon Thompson for Male Contribution to Athletics.
