Three goals by Beckett Palmer-Stephen paced the Napanee Raiders to a 4-1 win over the visiting Campbellford Rebels in Provincial Junior Hockey League action Friday night.
Matthew Sheehy opened the scoring for the Raiders late in the first period and Palmer-Stephen scored twice in the second period before completing his hat trick with the only goal of the third.
Campbellford’s lone goal was a shorthanded marker by Jacob McPhee in the middle frame, which cut the deficit to 2-1 at the time.
Goaltender Bailey Maracle made 24 saves to earn the win in net for the Raiders. His former goalie partner in Napanee, Mitchell Brown, made 36 saves in defeat for the Rebels.
Napanee (15-4-2-0) heads to Frankford on Saturday for a 7:50 p.m. matchup against the Huskies (1-20-0-2) while the Rebels (7-15-0-0) will host the Picton Pirates (11-9-0) at 7:30 p.m. in Campbellford.
