The 417 Bus Lines U12 Red Devils are Perfect In League Play. Friday night they travelled to Kingston to play the Jr. Gaels and Saturday they hosted the Markham Waxers at the QSWC. Friday, October 18: 8-0 vs Kingston. Saturday, October 19: 8-2 vs Markham. On Deck: The 417 Bus Lines U12 Red Devils are taking part in the Canadiens Cup in Toronto this weekend. They have round robin games against the Philadelphia Hockey Club, Vaughan Kings, Mid FairfieldRangers and Mississauga Reps.
The Breakaway Fuels U11 Red Devils Have Solid Weekend
This past Saturday saw Quinte Day hosted at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. It was also Hockey Fights Cancer Day for several of the Quinte teams including the U11’s. Sporting their HFC uniforms, the boys hit the ice at noon against the Peterborough Petes. Quinte came out firing on all cylinders and controlled a majority of the play throughout the game. Kai Mackie opened the scoring two minutes in with assists to Ethan Dowling and Ryder Bradford. Charlie Dwyer would extend the lead two minutes later with assists to Silas Templar and Reid Haley. Jackson Simpson from Reid Haley and Dwyer would make it 3-0 just 45 seconds into the second. Dowling would score two straight with assists to Mackie, Greyson Rennie and Tripp Plumely to end the second with Quinte leading 5-1. The third was all Quinte and they managed 3 more goals. Dowling (2) and Kolton Solmes also getting in on the action. Assists in the third went to Mackie (3), Dowling, and Avery Thickson. Jordan Andrews was strong in net for the win and Dowling took home player of the game honours.
Sunday saw the young devils get in their cars and head to Woodville to face the always difficult Central Ontario Wolves. This one was a solid team effort from start to finish with an emphasis on defensive play. Quinte would score one goal in each period and with some stellar goaltending would walk away with a 3-0 victory. Goals came from Dowling, Plumley and Wade Robinson. Assists went to Mackie(2), Solmes(2), Reid Haley and Simpson. Deacon Vos earned the shutout in net and took home player of the game honours.
On deck sees the Breakaway boys have a double header next Saturday against the North Central Predators at the Keeler Center in Coleborne. Game times are 1pm and 4pm.
The Free Flow Petroleum U10 AAA Red Devils hosted both The Peterborough Petes and The York Simcoe Express this past weekend.
On Saturday, proudly wearing their Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys which were generously sponsored by Jason’s Moving Inc., the Red Devils faced off against The Peterborough Petes, with Finn Harvey in net. Peterborough held a 2-0 lead heading into the 3rd period when Blake Unger, assisted by Bodhi Yearwood, scored the lone goal for QRD, seeing the game end in a 2-1 loss.
York-Simcoe Express came to play on Sunday in Madoc, with Emerson Courtney in net for QRD. On a goal scored by Bentley May, assisted by Austin Baily and Mason Cooke, The Red Devils led 1-0 at the end of the first period. Mason Cooke would score in the second period, but it wasn’t enough for the Red Devils, with the game ending in a 4-2 loss.
On Deck: The Free Flow Petroleum QRD U10 AAA team will welcome both The North Central Predators and the Central Ontario Wolves to Madoc next weekend (puck drop: 2pm on both Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th). We hope to see you there!
The Jason’s Moving U18 Red Devils had a good showing in the Sens Showcase Tournament in Ottawa this past weekend with one loss, two ties and a win to end the weekend. 

Oct 18 they played the Ottawa Valley Titans. The final score 1-1, scored by Dolye, (Short, Babbs). Bales in net for that game. In a second game that day, they played The Oakville Rangers. The final score was 5-2 for the Rangers, with Bowlby in net. Goal scorers were Gulliver (Koutroulides, Rivers), and Asimis (Harvey, Brown).
Oct 19th they tied the London Junior Knights 2-2, with goals from Moore (Brown), and Asimis. Bales in net. Later that day, the final game of the tournament was a 4-3 win against the Burlington Eagles who currently sit 1st place in OMHA west with a 5-0-0 record. Goal scorers in that game were Koutroulides (Doyle), Asimis (Short, Lavendar), Rivers (Harvey, Koutroulides), Moore (Bales). Bales played in nets for this win.

The Environmental 360 Solutions U16 AAA Red Devils win two, lose one.
The Quinte U16 Red Devils played three games in four nights, dropping a 4-3 overtime decision Sunday to the York-Simcoe Express in Aurora after beating Central Ontario 3-2 in Scugog Thursday, and Peterborough 4-3 on Saturday at Belleville’s CAA Arena.
On Sunday, York-Simcoe led 1-0 following the first period. Then Quinte held the 2-1 lead after two sets, before the Express knotted it 2-2 midway through the third. Pierson Clute regained Quinte’s one-goal advantage 1:55 later. But with the Red Devils up 3-2, York-Simcoe scored on the powerplay with 43 seconds left to tie things up again at 3-3, forcing overtime and ultimately taking the 4-3 win. Chase Cybulskie and Mac Chisholm had Quinte’s other goals, with Ty Leavitt (2), Wyatt Whalen, Nate Rashotte, Ryan Sherwin and Blake Munnings counting assists. Lily Reid tended goal. Despite the 4-3 loss in Aurora, the Red Devils hold down second place with seven points, one point back of Barrie and one up on York-Simcoe.
At the CAA Saturday against the Peterborough Petes, Quinte led from start to finish, holding period leads of 2-0 and 3-1. Cole Coughlin’s eventual game winner late in the third period shot the Red Devils ahead 4-2 before the Pete’s gave them a scare, narrowing the gap to 4-3 with a powerplay marker in the final minute of play. Chisholm, with a pair, and Ryan Foley also scored for Quinte. Isaac Tracze had three assists with single helpers coming from Henry, Fisher, Munnings, Rashotte, Whalen and Cybulskie. Ayden Mullen backstopped Quinte to the victory.
In the 3-2 win over the Central Ontario Wolves Thursday in Scugog, Rashotte gave the Red Devils a 3-1 lead in the third period netting the winning tally, while Clute and Nick Colson rounded out their scoring. Chipping in with assists were Whalen, Cybulskie, Foley, Fisher and Leavitt. Reid held the Wolves to a single goal until COW finally managed to beat her a second time at 16:55 of the final frame.
Next up, the E360S Red Devils will hold their Pink In The Rink event on Saturday at 4pm on the Mackay Pad, hosting the Barrie Colts in back to back home games on the weekend.
The Gillespie’s Tree Service U15 Red Devils had a home contest against the North Central Predators to start their weekend on Saturday before travelling to Richmond Hill to take on the Markham Waxers on Sunday.
A scrappy affair on Saturday saw a scoreless first period before Ewan Dahle struck for QRD in the 2nd frame to take a 1-0 lead. Assists on that marker going to Austin Preston and Andrew Laurin. The Preds kept hanging around and making things difficult for QRD until late in the 3rd when John Korver potted his first goal in a QRD uniform with assists going to Cohen Stewart and Preston to make it a 2-0 final. Rory Young picked up the shutout between the pipes.
The squad got off to a slow start on Sunday spotting Markham a 2 goal lead before Lauchlan Whelan got the team on the board in the 2nd period with a nice tip on a Jack Beebe shot from the point. Markham got one back early in the 3rd before Andrew Laurin finished off a slick passing play from Ewan Dahle and Whelan. The furious comeback attempt came up just short and the squad dropped a 3-2 decision for split on their weekend games.
The only game action for the squad this week is Saturday at home as they finish off their season series with their 3rd game against the North Central Predators. Puck drop is 2pm on the Mackay pad at the Quinte Wellness Centre.
The Bonn Law QRD U14 Red Devils picked up 2 wins at home this weekend, to improve their record to 5-0 in league play. On Saturday, the Devils hosted The Markham Waxers on Quinte Day in Belleville. The Red Devils ran into some penalty trouble in the first period, but Dax Sage stood tall between the pipes, and the team did a great job on the PK. After a back and forth two periods, the Devils hit their stride in the 3rd, scoring 6 unanswered goals on their way to an 11-3 win over The Waxers. Miller Nicholson led the way offensively, scoring 4 goals in the game. Rowyn Haley added a hattrick and Kyler Patterson scored a pair. Also lighting the lamp in the game; Noah Hughes and Brody Grant. Assisting on the goals; Hughes (4), Whalen (3), Gullage (3), Marsden (2), Simpson (2), Pettey and Stevens. On Sunday, The Red Devils hosted The York Simcoe Express, before a large crowd, at the new Sunny Life Recreation and Wellness Centre in Campbellford. After a fast paced, scoreless first period, Rowyn Haley got his team on the board half way through the second period, from Whalen and Simpson. Cameron Stevens and Kyler Patterson also lit the lamp in the second period, with assists going to Patterson and Gullage. Matt Travers came up big between the pipes, turning away every shot he faced on his way to a 3-0 shutout win. On deck: The Bonn Law QRD U14 Red Devils are headed North next weekend. Friday 6:30 @ Barrie, Saturday 2:00 and Sunday 1:00 vs The North Central Predators.
