The 417 Bus Lines U12 Red Devils Take Part in The Canadiens Cup – Tyler Cragg Memorial Tournament. The team ended the tournament with a record of 1-2-1 and did not qualify for the quarter finals.
Friday – 2-2 tie – Philadelphia Hockey Club. 5-2 loss – Vaughan Kings
Saturday – 6-1 loss – Mid Fairfield. 5-2 win – Reps Hockey Club

The Breakaway Fuels U11 Red Devils Sweep Double Header
Saturday saw the Breakaway Fuels Red Devils face the North Central Predators in a double header at the Keeler Center in Colborne.
Game one saw the Red Devils strike first with less than two minutes remaining in the first when Kai Mackie finished off a nice offensive zone passing play. Greyson Rennie and Kolton Solmes picked up the helpers. The second period was dominated by the Devils but the North Central goalie made some highlight reel saves to keep the game 1-0 heading to the third. Three minutes into the third Ethan Dowling would extend the lead with Mackie picking up the assist. Jackson Simpson and Jayden Stehlik would score unassisted markers later in the third to help complete a 4-0 victory. Jordan Andrews was solid in net for the shutout. Ryder Bradford took home the player of the game Devil Fork for making several fantastic breakout passes.
Two hours later they were back on the ice but this time the Devils would start early and score often on their way to a 14-0 win. Scoring in this one was done by Mackie (3), Stehlik (2), Simpson (2), Plumley (2), Haley(2), Silas Templar, Evan VanEgmond and Wade Robinson. Assists went to Haley, Dowling, Robinson, Plumley, Rennie, Jared Russell, Bradford, Stehlik, VanEgmond and Mackie. Deacon Vos stopped everything he faced and picked up an assist in the win. The Devils fork was awarded to whole team for playing hockey the right way for a full 40 minutes.
On Deck has the U11’s playing Markham on Saturday at the CAA pad. Game time 4pm.
The Free Flow Petroleum U10 AAA Red Devils came out flying this weekend as they hosted both the North Central Predators and Central Ontario Wolves in Madoc.
On Saturday, with Finn Harvey between the pipes, the Red Devils met up against the North Central Predators. Daniel Lalonde (assisted by Pearce McCormick) opened the scoring in the 1st period. The Red Devils came out flying in the second period, with their momentum carrying them to an eventual 8-1 win. Goals were scored by Jase Sage (2), Blake Unger, Daniel Lalonde, Mason Cooke, Pearce McCormick and Austin Baily. Assists were picked up by Austin Baily, Daniel Lalonde, Blake Unger, Walker Elrick, Bentley May, Mason Kolga and Lucas Fraser. Devil of the game went to Bodhi Yearwood for making some key plays in a strong defensive game.
On Sunday, The Red Devils faced off against the Central Ontario Wolves in Madoc. With Emerson Courtney in net, the whole team contributed to a commanding 11-1 win. Goals were scored by Lucas Fraser, Mason Cooke, Felix Charbonneau, Austin Baily, Blake Unger (3), Bentley May, Walker Elrick, Beckham Nightingale and Jase Sage. Assists were picked up by Bentley May (2), Walker Elrick, Mason Kolga (2), Mason Cooke (2), Bodhi Yearwood, Austin Baily, Pearce McCormick and Hudson Silverburg. The Devil of the Game was Lucas Fraser.
Coaches Comments: “That was one of our best games all year. Everyone moved the puck and worked really hard”.
On Deck: The Red Devils head out on a weekend road trip to face the North Central Predators (November 1st @ 7pm and November 3rd @ 1pm) and Barrie Junior Colts (November 2nd @ 2pm).
The Jason’s Moving U18 Red Devils played Oct 23rd taking a 6-0 loss to the Ajax-Pickering Raiders. The team bounced right back Sat Oct 26th, with a strong win 6-3 against the Barrie Jr Colts. Goal scorers were Short (Bird, Doyle), Gulliver (Harvey), Doyle (Babbs, MacDonald), Doyle (Koutroulides), Koutroulides (Vespa), Moore. Bales in nets. Finally on Sunday the team travelled to Markham, and despite a valiant effort, and struggling with a handful of injuries they took a 6-1 loss; however fans would argue the score did not reflect the tenacity of the game. Koutroulides was the lone goal-scorer, with Moorsie & Doyle chipping in assists.
On Deck: The team is looking forward to an opportunity week to recovery from a few minor injuries, and a Cornell trip organized by their amazing manager, Justin MacDonald. This weekend will involve a campus tour, tail-gaiting BBQ & taking in a game v North Dakota.
The Environmental 360 Solutions U16 AAA Red Devils utilized three different ice pads at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre last week to host a three-game home stand that included a pair of weekend games against the first-place Barrie Colts.
The third-place Red Devils went 0-1-and-2 during the home stretch, first skating to a 1-1 tie with the North Shore Whitecaps on Wednesday. Quinte then equaled Barrie 3-3, Saturday, before dropping a 5-3 decision to the Colts the following afternoon.
At the CAA Arena, Sunday, the Red Devils scored once in each period with all three goals erasing one-goal Barrie leads. Quinte trailed 2-1 after the first period and 3-2 following two sets before Ty Leavitt’s tally at 3:27 of the third evened the count 3-3. The Colts finally went ahead for good at 7:26 then just over eight minutes later Barrie added an insurance marker to make it a 5-3 final. Mac Chisholm and Chase Cybulskie had the other Red Devil goals with Cybulskie, Leavitt, Ryan Foley and Ryan Sherwin grabbing assists.
In Saturday’s tie game on the Mackay pad Nate Rashotte was in on all three Red Devil goals, scoring twice before assisting on Chisholm’s goal with 40 seconds left to play in regulation time to knot it 3-3. Leavitt also assisted on the play. Chisholm picked up a helper on Quinte’s second marker while Blake Munnings and Cole Rowat chipped in with an assist each on Rashotte’s powerplay goal to open the scoring in the first period. The teams were even 1-1 after the first period then Barrie carried a 2-1 lead into the third.
Last Wednesday on the FDC ice sheet, the Red Devils needed Rowat’s goal at 11:01 of the third period to get the 1-1 draw with North Shore. After two scoreless periods the Whitecaps jumped in front 1-0 on the powerplay just over seven minutes before Rowat’s marker. Ayden Mullen and Lily Reid split Quinte’s goaltending duties with Mullen facing North Shore and Barrie in Sunday’s encounter. Reid got the 3-all tie against Barrie.
The Red Devils wore pink uniforms for all three games as part of their ‘Pink in the Rink’ event to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.
On Deck: The U16 Red Devils play three games this coming week beginning with a trip to Darlington on Thursday for a rematch with North Shore. Saturday at 5:30 they host the North Central Predators at the CAA and Sunday night they’re back on the road, this time to take on the Ajax-Pickering Raiders.
The Gillespie’s Tree Service U15 Red Devils saw their only action of the week on Saturday afternoon as they hosted the North Central Predators. The squad was looking to put on a show for the home fans in the finale of the season series with the Preds and they hit the scoresheet early and often in doing so. Andrew Dewar got the action started early in the first taking a North Central turnover from his own end and burying it for his first of the year. Less than a minute later Austin Preston capitalized off a turnover forced by John Korver in the offensive zone to make it 2-0 for the home side. Just before 4min into the first Andrew Laurin capitalized on a rebound from a Dewar shot from the point for a 3-0 lead. Jax Martin capitalized on another North Central turnover to bang in a short handed marker for a 4-0 lead before Ewan Dahle had a great solo effort finishing off a turnover he caused to go up 5-0. The boys would carry this score into the second where the onslaught continued. Noah Kennedy started the next scoring play with a rush from behind his own net feeding Clow for a nice shot, but the goalie left the rebound for Dahle to tap in for his second of the game. Dahle finished off the hat trick on the power play after a nice series of passes where Clow and Preston picked up helpers and Lawson Minifie rounded out the scoring in the second on the powerplay with assists going to Kennedy and Martin. The scoring pace slowed in the third with Lauchlan Whelan adding the only tally from Martin and Minifie to bring the final total to 9-0 for QRD with the squad sweeping the season series with the Preds.
This week brings only one game on the schedule as well with the team heading down the 401 for a date with the Whitby Wildcats. Puck drop is 7pm at Iroquois Park.
The Bonn Law QRD U14 Red Devils Team Improve to 8-0
The Bonn Law QRD U14 Team headed North this weekend for three great games and some team bonding.
The Red Devils headed to Barrie Friday evening for a match up with the Colts. In a back and forth, physical game, the boys skated away with a 5-3 win in their final game of the regular season vs The Colts. Lighting the lamp for the Devils: Tyler Martin, Rowyn Haley (2), Kyler Patterson and Miller Nicholson. Chipping in with assists on the goals; Cameron Stevens (2), Thomas Marsden, Mason Whalen, Patterson and Martin. Dax Sage was sharp between the pipes for the win.
After the game on Friday night, the team travelled to Orillia where they would take in the North Central Predators on Saturday and Sunday. The two games were full of great defence, key saves and offence from every player on the team. The Red Devils also got to enjoy some down time as a group and travelled home with 3 more solid wins in league play.
On Deck: The Red Devils will play two exhibition games on Saturday @ Oshawa and Vaughan vs The Sudbury Wolves.
Two-Point Weekend for The Madison Excavating U13s
Saturday, October 25th, vs. Central Ontario Wolves: The Madison Excavating QRD U13s hosted two home games this weekend, the first one on Saturday against the Central Ontario Wolves. After a scoreless first period, the Wolves broke through in the second at the 13:38 mark with a powerplay goal. The Devils quickly responded, as Lennox George tipped home a Hewett Tejnor point shot, also assisted by Keaton Clute, which evened the score at one apiece. The Wolves dominated the final period, netting three consecutive goals to secure a 4-1 victory, despite Hayden Tripp’s strong efforts in net for Quinte.
Sunday, October 26th, @ vs. Peterborough Petes: On Sunday in Campbellford, the Madison Excavating QRD U13s happily skated away with a win. Quinte struck first as Everett Brown tipped in a Max Bucknell point shot, also assisted by Levi Mallory, on a QRD powerplay, midway through the first period. Dylan Chalk, assisted by Cooper Plumley, added another for Quinte in the second period, and the Petes quickly responded to make it 2-1. In the final period, Robbie Robinson, assisted by Kaiden Sprackett, extended QRD’s lead to 3-1. The Petes managed to cut the deficit with a late goal, but Benjamin Larmer’s strong performance in net helped the Devils hold on for the win.
