An overtime goal by Brandon Couto, his second of the game, lifted the Tweed Oil Kings to an 8-7 win over the South Grenville Rangers on Saturday, Oct. 15 in Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League action at the Municipality of Tweed Community Centre.
South Grenville scored five straight goals in the third period to force the extra frame.
Couto had a five-point outing for Tweed as he also registered three assists. Chris Johnston recorded a hat trick for the Oil Kings while Hunter Fargey scored twice and Sheldon Thompson added a single tally in the win. Darren Doherty had three assists.
Next Saturday, Oct. 22, the Oil Kings will host the Smiths Falls Rideaus in Tweed. Game time is 1 p.m.
