Black and Gold Return: Belleville Senators to Host Annual Bulls Night in Support of BMHA

March 25th, 2026

The cowbells are set to ring out at CAA Arena once again as the Belleville Senators host their annual Bulls Night on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This beloved tradition celebrates the 34-year legacy of the former OHL Belleville Bulls while raising critical funds for the next generation of local athletes through the Belleville Minor Hockey Association (BMHA).

The Belleville Senators will ditch their traditional red and black for the iconic gold, black, and red jerseys of the Bulls as they take on the Manitoba Moose at 7:00 p.m.. Fans are encouraged to wear their vintage Bulls gear to create a “sea of gold” in the stands.

The evening will feature a deep dive into local hockey history, including:

  • Alumni Recognition: Several former Bulls from the 2007-2008 team are scheduled to return, including goaltender Mike Murphy, defenceman Shawn Lalonde, captain Matt Beleskey, and former coach/player Jake Grimes.
  • Signing Station: Fans can meet returning alumni during the first intermission.
  • Throwback Deals: Early arrivals can take advantage of $3 Puck Drop Deals on food and beverages.

Giving Back to the BMHA Help Fund

Central to the event is the partnership between the Senators and the Belleville Minor Hockey Association. The night serves as a major fundraiser for the BMHA Help Fund, which provides financial assistance to families to ensure every child has the opportunity to play organized hockey.

Key fundraising initiatives include:

  1. Chuck-A-Puck: During the second intermission, fans can participate in the CAA Chuck-A-Puck contest. Proceeds from puck sales will go directly to the BMHA Help Fund.
  2. Jersey Auction: The game-worn specialty Bulls jerseys will be auctioned off post-game via the DASH Online Auctions platform.
  3. Special Pucks: Commemorative game-used pucks will also be available for auction to support the cause.

Ticket Information

Tickets for Bulls Night start at $25. BMHA members and families can often access special discounted tickets through their official website or by visiting the Belleville Sens Box Office at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre.
