The Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils Had Split Results in League Play this Week
On Wednesday, the Devils traveled to Kingston for the third and final matchup of the regular season. Liam Campbell (Jean-Cristoph Lemieux and Maddox Dagenais) opened scoring with the only goal of the first period. Kingston answered in the second frame, but Dagenais (Lemieux and Mickael Fournier) capitalized on a power play to regain the lead. Campbell (Jacob Moore and Dagenais) would seal the deal with an empty net goal in the final minutes play. Noah Groeneveld earned the 3-1 victory in net.
On Sunday, the Devils hosted the Whitby Wildcats for the noon hour match. A rough start left the Devils trailing by three at the end of the first period. In the third, Lemieux (Campbell and Dagenais) lit the lamp but an empty net goal from Whitby ended Quinte’s hopes for a comeback win. Brant took the 5-3 loss in net.
