Play with us on the Water!
The first-ever Quinte Watersports Fair will be held in Belleville on Saturday 10 September, in conjunction with the World Rowing Tour 2022, which begins the following day. This event is being held with the intent of showing the population of the whole Quinte region the opportunities which the Bay of Quinte holds for non-motorized watersports, both within clubs and independently. All rowing, sailing and paddling clubs in the region, from Brighton to Napanee to Waupoos, are expected to have displays – scuba diving too! – and equipment suppliers (boats and gear) and service providers (companies with kayaks for rent, for example) will also be there. This is a unique opportunity for anybody interested in non-motorized watersports to find out everything they might want to know about all the various ways of enjoying the Bay, both competitively and recreationally, for young people, older people and families. All the organizations present treat the need for safety seriously, and safety on the water will be a recurring theme.
The fair will be held in the Lions Pavilion in West Zwicks Park from 11 am to 4 pm. Find out more about it on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Quinte-WaterSports-Fair-113671448024935. As well as the static displays, there will be a Parade of Boats, and several other activities. All organizations interested in exhibiting at the Fair are invited to contact watersportsfair@gmail.com.
