Haley & Sakari

Lacrosse

Haley had never picked up a lacrosse stick until this school year and fell in love with the sport after seeing a professional NLL game. When the opportunity to join the team became available she and her BFF Sakari though afraid to play in a male dominated sport, were determined to be the best player’s they could be. Both girls have become a force to be reckoned with when it comes to defence. They have lost their fear of being hit or checked by other players and their skills are improving daily as they enjoy practicing outside of team practices. Haley and Sakari have inspired other females to play for next year’s team’s. Both in Pee Wee and Banton as they move up.

Nate

Track and Field

Nate from Nicholson Catholic College made his school proud when he picked up a silver medal in the senior boys 400m hurdles at the 2017 OFSAA Track and Field Championship hosted this year in Belleville.
