Minor hockey a community affair in Prince Edward County

The association’s signature Milk Tournament in October 2025 showcased local talent against regional rivals. The U11 Kings reached the semi-finals but fell in a close 3-2 match to the Norwood Hornets. The tournament featured strong showings across the board, with the U13 and U18 squads also reaching their respective quarter and semi-final rounds.

League and Roster Statistics

The Kings maintained competitive rankings within the EOMHL throughout the season:

  • U13 Rep B Terra Vista: Achieved a team rating of 82.65, one of the highest in the association for the season.
  • U15 Rep B Heidelberg Materials: Finished with a rating of 78.99, bolstered by a strong roster including standout players such as Charlie Burkitt, Lukas Copeland, and Jasper Quaiff.
  • U11 LL3 Purple: Finished high in the standings with 4 points, narrowly trailing the Frontenac Flyers for the top spot in their division.

Community and Program Growth

Beyond the scoreboard, the Prince Edward County Minor Hockey Association (PECMHA) focused on long-term development. The 2026 Spring Hockey program saw record interest, offering 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 leagues for players born between 2009 and 2019. The association also introduced specialized Body Checking Clinics and goalie clinics to enhance player safety and skill.

As the season concluded in late March 2026, the focus shifted to the future with the announcement of 2026/27 Rep Coaches and the opening of registration for spring prep skates.
